The service
Trioga QR lets you create QR codes, customize how they look, download them, and, for dynamic codes, change where they lead after they have been printed. Dynamic codes encode a short link on our domain; when it is scanned, we redirect to the destination you have set. Static codes contain their content directly.
Creating and managing QR codes is currently free of charge.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure.
- You must provide accurate information and may only use accounts you are authorized to use.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, including every code you create.
Acceptable use
You must not use Trioga QR to create, host or point codes to content or activity that:
- is phishing, a scam, fraud, or impersonates another person or organization;
- distributes malware or harmful software, or exploits devices or networks;
- is illegal, or infringes someone else’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- is spam, or tries to hide where a link really leads in order to deceive people;
- harasses, threatens or exploits others, including minors.
You must not interfere with the service: for example by automated mass creation of codes, attempting to bypass rate limits or access controls, probing for vulnerabilities without permission, or accessing other users’ data.
Dynamic codes and short links
- Each dynamic code receives a short link that never changes. Only you (and, where necessary, our moderators) can change its destination.
- Destinations must be http:// or https:// web addresses. Links to local or private network addresses and to other short links on our domain are not allowed.
- If you pause a code, scans show an “inactive” page until you re-enable it. If you delete a code, scans show a “deleted” page permanently.
- A short link is never reassigned to another code or account, even after deletion.
- Static codes don’t depend on our service. Once downloaded, they keep working regardless of your account.
Your content
You keep all rights to the content, destinations and logos you add. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service: for example to render your codes, redirect scans and show your dashboard.
You confirm that you have the right to use any logo or content you upload, and that your destinations comply with these terms.
Limits and availability
- Each account can keep up to 100 QR codes. We may change limits to protect the service.
- Requests are rate limited to prevent abuse.
- We work to keep redirects fast and reliable, but we don’t guarantee that the service will be available without interruption, and we may perform maintenance. During maintenance, editing may be paused while existing codes continue to redirect.
Moderation and suspension
We review reports of harmful codes. We may disable a code, override a destination that is being used for harm, or suspend an account that breaks these terms. When we disable a code you will see this in your dashboard. Moderation actions are recorded in an audit log. If you believe we made a mistake, contact us through the contact page.
Anyone can report a suspicious code on the report page.
Advertising
Some public pages of this website may show advertisements. Advertisements are never shown between a scan and its destination.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting your account permanently deletes your codes and their scan data, and your dynamic codes stop redirecting immediately. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we don’t give warranties that it will meet every requirement, be error-free, or that every printed code will scan in every condition. Always test a code before printing it in quantity. Scan analytics are estimates based on the requests we receive.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be limited by agreement.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. For questions, contact us through the contact page.
